Screenshots of macOS 10.14 are leaked: new Dark Mode, Apple News application for Mac among others

We just got to know the first impressions of the new Apple operating system masOS 10.14, which will be presented in great detail next Monday at WWDC starting at 19:XNUMX p.m. in Spanish peninsular time.  We know this scoop from developer Steve Troughton Smith, who has tweeted a series of screenshots of what will be macOS 10.14.

A new dark theme, as well as improvements when it comes to switching between normal mode and this dark mode that, at least the first impressions of the Chrome application leave us in awe.

Among them, we can see a icon representing the News application for Mac, located in this case in the Dock. It remains to be seen if this application will be available worldwide, or only in the US as on iOS. We also found, although it may be due to the first beta version of macOS 10.14, the Xcode 10 developer app.

Our discoverer of the new Mac software explains how he came up with the find: A short 30-second preview video was uploaded to the Xcode Mac App Store page API. We can venture that the new Mac Apple Store will have a design similar to that used in iOS.

As we announced and we can check the video that Smith himself has uploaded, dark mode does not limit the toolbar, but affects the entire interface, with different all of dark and translucent areas. In some cases, it reminds of the tones used in the photos application, when it is run in full screen.

There is also speculation about the name that macOS 10.14 will receive. From what we can see mountains or dunes appear in the dark, suggesting that it will be called the Mojave Desert. It is possible that we will see in the WWDC presentation two wallpapers, one during the day and one at night of this scenario, which combine with the day and night mode.
