Security certificates failure in the Mac App Store

Access to their applications is complicated for some users by a massive failure in the application security certificates for OS X. This failure occurs after Apple's announcement of not renewing the application security certificates and what causes it is that the app closes automatically giving certificate error.

Apple for its part, what it did in the face of the many complaints from the developers that came to them from the users was to extend the term of these certificates until 2035, but in reality it seems that this renewal of the certificates does not solve the problem and neither does uninstalling and reinstalling the application whole as indicated in the dialog box when launching the error on our desktop.

The developers themselves are pressuring Apple to offer a solution to the problem that seems to affect many users and although it is true that the only solution to get around the problem was to access the username and password in the Mac App Store every time it jumped the error to use the applications, now this seems that it no longer works for them. Apple is the one that has to correct this problem and it seems that it has already done so, so once connected to the network and downloaded the certificates, users will start to stop having this problem.

In my case I do not have problems of this type (at least with the applications I use) but I have to investigate the reason that my Pages app didn't just update despite asking for it in the Mac App Store. I imagine that this is my problem and it will be time to check the Mac to solve it since the rest of the iWork suite was installed correctly ...

    Hello Jordi,

I write to comment on two things:

I had problems with the 1Password certificate on the Mac ... Just reboot and after putting in the Apple ID it was solved. With respect to Pages I have already updated it twice and the update appears again in the Store.

    Greetings.

      Good David,

It seems that the Pages thing is solved by installing and restarting the Mac, at least now I don't get the update again.

      Saludos y gracias

Greetings Jordi, since I updated my MacBook Pro Retina to OS X El Capitan I began to have problems with the iCloud account, it tells me this message (Verification Error) (An error has occurred when connecting to the Apple ID server ). I can't use FaceTime, iMessage, or update 7 pending updates. However, through Safari I can enter my iCloud account and through my iPhone, so the problem is with my Mac and El Capitan. I contacted Apple and they said there was nothing they could do. Might you help me??

      Greetings to you too Olga.

It is strange that Apple does not offer help (you would have an operator with a bad day) but in any case try to configure iCloud again to see if the problem is solved. Go into System Preferences> iCloud and check the account details and more. As for FaceTime, iMessage etc the same, enter the preferences and check that all the data is correct.

      You already tell us

Greetings Jordi, I was attended by a very good Apple Technician, and discovered that he had caught a malware that was causing the error. I report it in case someone has had the same problem. Thanks for your help.

            Regards Dimitri
I contacted Apple technicians and one of them solved the problem for me. The problem was that I downloaded some programs that were not from the Apple Apps, I downloaded them from a UTorrens and I caught a malware that would not let me connect to the iCloud. To solve the problem I had to do a BackUp of the Mac on an external disk and delete all the applications that I had that were not from the Apps Store and format the Mac, it was the only thing I solved the problem, I had already done everything and while I had the UTorrens still had the problem. I hope you can solve it, I have saved the email of the Mac technician who helped me which I can send you so you can contact him in case you do not solve the problem. Luck
