If it is true that Safari natively allows us to send the videos that we can find on some web pages to a floating window, we do not always use Safari to surf the Internet or visit our favorite YouTube channels, so the operation of this function is limited to the native browser.
The process to be able to send a video that is played in Safari to a floating window is to place ourselves on the video in question and right-click twice while pressing the CMD key. This combination of keys is not very easy to remember, which can force us to consult the combination over and over again each time we want to do it.
Fortunately, with the Hang app, we don't have to do memory exercises, since the operation is very simple. We just have to copy the URL where the video in question is located and go to the menu that we can find in the upper bar, select the size of the window in which we want to show the video and that's it. Nothing more. The application automatically takes care of recognizing the video without us having to paste it at any time.
Being an external application, we do not need to use Safari to display the videos in a floating window, as it happens natively, but we can make use of our favorite browser, whether it is Chrome, Firefox or any other that we can currently find on the market.
Hang has a regular price in the Mac App Store of 1,09 euros, a price more than adjusted for the functionality that it offers us, since it allows us to enjoy our favorite videos on a floating screen that we can place where we want and consult while we watch our social networks, send an email or any other task that does not require of special attention.
Very good article, you can also do the same with the app called Helium which is free 😉
