How to set alarms and reminders on Apple Watch

Apple Watch sales stagnate

If you have an Apple Watch of the first generation or the most current, you have many functions and settings that you should know. For those less advanced users, I want to bring a kind of tutorial or some tips on how to set alarms on your watch. In addition, with the same ease and comfort, I'll talk about setting up and creating reminders. Very similar to alarms, but more focused on remembering things, and not warning you at specific times, but also.

In addition, I would like to make other posts with functions and uses that you can give the Apple Watch. It could even recommend some apps and explain specific elements or features. For this, leave a comment with your request after reading the following post. Keep reading.

Native apps for Apple Watch

I want to start by saying that the specialty of the watch, in addition to sports, health, training and all that, is in native apps. They are the ones that work best and their integration with iOS is total. My favorites are the simplest, and I already said that the watch is designed for specific and fast use. Take a look and little else. And native apps allow it. The ones that I have used the most in these 24 hours since I bought it and the ones that I use the most are: Those referring to a clock, stopwatch, alarm, etc. and those for reminders, health and training. We will talk about training later in another post, now let's focus on Reminders and Alarms.

Set alarms and don't fall asleep

To set an alarm on the Apple Watch you can do it from its own app. You enter it and give Add Alarm, then set the details of the time. Easy and simple. If you are lazy or just want to make this configuration task easier and faster, ask Siri directly. With the clock screen on, say: Hey Siri. It will automatically activate and listen to your request. Instead of calling it by voice, you can press the digital crown to activate it in the same way. Then ask him.

«Hey Siri, set an alarm for 7 a.m.»Or at any time you want. And it will appear in case you want to modify it, there has been an error or you want to add or delete others. Easy, instant and effective. I also like how it works, and it vibrates and sounds like an alarm. At night you leave it with the charger in that curious bedside clock mode and not only can you see the alarm time on the screen, but it wakes you up and alerts you, working as expected, without scares or problems . It is assumed.

I really like how it works and I am getting several. One for all, as it should be. There are also very good third-party apps to do it with other methods and with other types of warnings.

Reminders on the Apple Watch, finally

And I say finally because we have waited for it for a long time. It is not exclusive to the Series 2 model or any other. It is a novelty that we saw with WatchOS 3 and that we do not understand why it did not arrive before. Its operation is similar to that of the iPhone. You open the application and you have the different categories that you have created before on your mobile device. "Things to do", "Reminders", "iCloud" and many more. The ones you want. In each one you will see your reminders and you can create more.

How to create them? Very easy. The same procedure as before. On the one hand, you can do it manually by adding and configuring details. On the other hand it is even easier. Ask Siri. "Hey Siri, remind me to go down to turn off the gas at 7 PM." As simple as that.

As you can see, the most Basic and simple are easy to do on the Apple Watch. And the best thing is that the notification is faster and less annoying, in addition to that you will pay attention to it even if you do not have the iPhone at hand, and independently.

Hello, I recently had an Apple Watch series 3, and it left me a bit annoyed that it did not "have a vibrator" for alarms ... I contacted Apple and they told me that it is an option that they do not have programmed, that the alarms only they sound and DO NOT vibrate. Until now I was a user of a Pebble, and I used a silent alarm (vibrator) with the watch on my wrist, and I would like to be able to use the Watch in the same way. I have tried everything, put it in silent mode (see if it vibrates, but nothing). The Apple ones also tell me that the alarms from the iPhone to the Watch are not "synchronized" either, that if I set an alarm on the iPhone it is activated on the Watch.
With which I hallucinate ... or there are very savvy users and they manage with hidden functions or those of Apple support do not find out.

    Suggestions are appreciated.
