A few days ago, the application subscription service for Mac launched a new feature, a feature highly demanded by many of its subscribers so that they could make use of the versions of those applications available on iOS. A week ago this option is a reality.
The monthly price that had this option it was 4,99 euros per month per additional device, whether it was iPhone or iPad, a price that has been permanently cut in half. In this way, if we use any of the 7 applications that are available in Setapp with an iOS version, we only have to pay 2,49 euros for each one.
Setapp claims that it has lowered the price after listening, once again, and also for Setapp to have additional functionality by being able to use it on iOS devices. Setapp was originally launched in 2017, a service that for a monthly fee of 9,99 euros per month, it offers access to more than 190 applications for macOS.
Subscribers to this service can use each and every one of the applications at no additional cost. If you want to use the corresponding versions for iOS, they have to pay a monthly fee of 2,49 euros if they use it on more than one device.
How Setapp works on iOS
Obviously Setapp has not released any application for iOSAs it would quickly disappear from the App Store if it had ever been approved. Each application has two QR codes associated with it, one that installs the application on the iOS device and another that unlocks the full version of the application available on Setapp.
At the moment, only 7 of the 190 applications available on Setapp have a corresponding one on iOS: Ulysses, Paste, Gemini Photos, Taskheat, SQLPro Studio, Mind Node and PDF Search. If, for example, we hire Ulysses and Mind Node independently, the price we will pay at the end of the year will be higher than if we use Setapp.
