Depending on the type of job you have and the number of people you know, it will be an ordeal for you to be able to remember the birthday dates of each and every one of them. For that you can have the help, for example from Facebook, which if the person has not entered their date of birth correctly or it is useless.
In this post we are going to show you how to show the days when your friends and family have their birthday in the application Calendar by OSX.
The option to view birthdays in the Calendar application on your Mac not usually activated as standard, so you must know where it is, activate it and then switch between your calendar and the birthday calendar.
As you can see in the attached image, on the left side of the Calendar screen we have a column that shows the calendars that we have created. The accounts that will appear in Calendars are the ones that we initially added in System preferences, Internet accounts.
You have to know that within each of the accounts that we have activated, that is, within each of the accounts where the data that we put in the different calendars we have will be synchronized, you can create as many calendars as you want. In our case we have created one for Soy de Mac, which will be synchronized with all my devices since I have created it within the iCloud account.
Once we have summarized where the available calendars appear and what it means to have several accounts added, in order to see the calendar of holidays we will have to go to Calendar Preferences and enter the first tab General. In the lower art you have two check boxes that will show you a calendar for the Birthday y another for holidays.
You will see that when you activate any of them, in the column that we explained before, under the account that you have activated, a section of other. Now you have the calendar that informs you of birthdays. It is clear that at any time you can create a calendar in a certain account with the name "Birthday", in the event that the birthdays you want to remember are not from people you have in "Contacts". With this we want to tell you that when you create a contact in both OSX and iOS, if you enter the date of birth, these data appear in the special Birthday calendar that we have indicated automatically. For all those who do not have in the contact list you will have to create your events.
