Show recent item files without opening them

RECENT ITEMS

Today we bring you a little trick that will help us manage the items from the recent list that appears when we click on the upper left apple icon.

In case you had not noticed, in the menu that is displayed when you press the apple we have a line for the "Recent items", and in turn divides it into sections such as "Applications", "Documents", "Servers", among others.

On many of the occasions in which we use this tool, we go in search of a specific file or application, but not to open it but to copy it to another destination, that is, what we want is not to find the file in recent and open it , but find it and be able to copy it to a specific location, send it by mail, upload it to DropBox, etc. However, when we display the menu of recent items, the only thing it allows us to do is click on the one we really want to open it later.

RECENT ITEMS NORMAL

What we have to do to get what we really want is to simply press the key "Command" when we are on top of that list and we will see that the names change and now it tells us that when we click on them it will open them in a fiunder window.

Now, once a finder window is open with the element we want, we can do what we wanted more easily. We are facing a different option that does not make us go to the Spotlight to search.
