One of the best features that Apple's MacBook series have is undoubtedly the ingenuity of its MagSafe power connector, mainly due to the magnetization of the ends It is a great remedy against accidents such as tripping over the cable and throwing the MacBook to the ground or not properly holding the laptop when disconnecting it and dragging it as happens in other brands.
However, it is not without flaws either and over time it has evolved to a second version that although it seems a priori more robust in view of the former, it is actually less reliable in this regard and disconnects "unintentionally" more times than desired.
That is why the Tetrio people have developed this little ring called Snuglet that does nothing more than tighten the MagSafe connector to the Macbook socket to avoid these accidental disconnections and that can be removed simply with an included tool that looks a lot like the Sim eject of the iPhone or iPad.
Supposedly it will not have so much strength that if it is for a just cause (stumbling) it will not be released. In short, according to its creator, it returns to reliability to connector that he lost with the passage to his second version.
It seems to me a project that starts from the basis of a good idea but does not end up giving me full confidence that this little ring will work when it should and release the connection at the right time. The Kickstarter launch was on July 1, with a $ 9000 goal to commercialize the idea and for now he has already achieved it by raising $ 9670 at the time of writing this entry, we'll see if this little accessory succeeds.
