With the arrival of Mavericks some time ago on most Macs, Maps was also introduced as the default application of the system where before it was only exclusive to iOS, so we could also check directions or routes with a native application in the system without have to resort to any other means. That is why the option to share with our iOS devices, either on iPhone or iPad, the address of a specific location was also integrated so that it instantly appears on the lock screen and guides us to it.

All this is fine until we see that for some inexplicable reason our devices have disappeared from the Mavericks Maps share option, so we will not be able to do anything since devices cannot be added from that menu.

If we find ourselves in this situation the solution is simple. We will only have to go to the system preferences from the upper left menu  and select the iCloud option to close the account, this will cause multiple warnings in a pop-up way that will jump us telling us that the contacts are going to be lost, our Mail account in Mail, reminders ... do not worry since as soon as you register again, everything will be recovered as we had before so that the next step is to finish closing everything and re-enter our credentials to turn iCloud back on.

This failure is not usually common, although it may be the case because, as we already know, everything depends on the services that we have activated in the cloud and on how these services behave, so it may be the case that it suffers some bug from time to time.
