Some iMac Pro screen mounts are not strong enough

Some accessories should be constantly checked to avoid problems. This is the case of a display mount for the wall, of the iMac Pro made by VESA and marketed by Apple. The unfortunate discovery is provided by the YouTuber Quinn Nelson, who is famous on the networks by the name of Snazzy Labs.

Nelson has been using the iMac Pro Wall Kit since he purchased the kit earlier this year. Now he assures that it is not of very good quality and recommends not buying it, since apparently, the screws do not support the weight of the screen, which would cause it to fall and break.

The YouTuber partly blames Apple, as he comments that He was forced to buy the VESA support since the one provided by Apple is very short and the screen is very low if you are a tall user. In the case of other iMac, the support is adjustable in height, but this does not happen curiously in the iMac Pro. Instead, Apple offers the support that we describe here, but it does not offer good quality.

According to the Youtuber, everything seemed to indicate what was feared in the end. The five screws that the bracket has, do not seem to be enough. Just for comparison, the base foot of the iMac Pro has 9 screws.

Nelson's problems arose when he wanted to temporarily detach the display from the VESA mount, to place it on the original mount. At that moment, one of the screws broke. Nelson tried to fix the problem by calling Apple. But he quickly detected that neither on the phone line, nor in the Apple store, they know perfectly how to handle the support. This caused further deterioration, and even the breakage of the original iMac Pro stand.

Since this mishap happened in the same Apple Store, Nelson's iMac Pro was replaced by another exactly the same, to service the Youtuber.

We leave you the video of Nelson, where he details all his feat.
