Some Mac Pros have graphical problems and Apple is forced to launch a repair program

Mac Pro

Apple yesterday launched a new program that extends the warranty period of Mac Pro purchased in 2013, as it addresses the problems that some of these computers present in relation to graphics bugs and video problems in general.

Apple has determined that the graphics cards in some late 2013 Mac Pro models, specifically the manufactured between February 8, 2015 and on April 11, 2015, they can give a distorted image, cause instability in the system, no video signal, freeze, reboots, blackouts or can directly prevent the system from starting.

In this case Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider will repair the Mac Pro models affected by the video problems for free. Customers can book an appointment with the Genius Bar at an Apple Store or directly take the equipment to the nearest Apple Authorized Service Provider to determine if the Mac Pro is eligible for warranty repair.

Unlike the voluntary change that Apple made available to users of some AC wall adapters, which in specific circumstances could present problems. It is unlikely that this repair program will also be publicly announced on the company's support website, but it is more likely that some of the affected users will be contacted by phone.

Apple has sold about 11 million Macs since the second quarter of 2015, which is the date that marks the beginning of the sale of the affected Macs. In any case, it is quite complicated for Apple to keep a rigorous control on the equipment that was sold to get in touch with its buyers.

Surely it is the users themselves who contact the technical support, when they start to view graphical glitches on your computer. For example in Apple support forums A post has been created with more than 3.500 visits already and more than 50 affected who have written with different errors. Hopefully it is only a specific batch and it has not happened in more teams.

Well, what a coincidence, I sent Tim Cook an email explaining the problem of a mac pro that I just bought out of the box from the apple online store in Spain and that it was flashing, and that I went to change it within the 15-day window for another new box, when I went to port venice to change it they did not let me or the system did not let him so I returned home with the equipment and wrote to Tim cook at his email, I passed the email to one of his executive from apple online retail store, and that person called me, we stayed in the change again at the apple store in venice port and I entered with a mac pro but I had to leave empty-handed there were some problems to be able to solve the exchange. Well In the end the story has been half solved still because the first mac pro had a flash drive that had read and write that were brutal I have never seen it only in the new iMac 5K of 2015 and the mac pro that came first was with almost that kind of reading. Well the replacement now has some reads and writes that do not resemble the first mac pro it had. Now I do not know what I do, I change it for a third try or die here, and this I think has come to the attention of Tim cook because the forums are full with the graphics problems of the mac pro late 2013.
