Spotify yesterday launched its new family plan in which it will allow users of the platform to hire it and enjoy for 14,99 euros up to six people at the same time, one more than Apple's family plan. Since the arrival of Apple Music, both platforms have been monopolizing the entire streaming music market, leaving some companies like Rdio or Line Music by the wayside, although the latter never really took off since the Japanese company took over after being bought by Microsoft in the same Nokia package and having Groove Music, it did not intend to keep two services the same.
Currently Apple has a solid base of 13 million subscribers while Spotify has 30 million users and growing. Ever since the Cupertino-based company launched Apple Music, it seems like has been the starting gun for the new way of consuming streaming music. The only problem with Spotify is that it currently does not offer any native application for the Apple Watch, something that may be more than enough reason for users of the platform to have switched to Apple Music, especially if they are intensive consumers of music.
