Speaking at a summit in Sydney, Steve Wozniak said Apple Watch and other Wearables "They are not an attractive purchase". Wozniak has criticized all smartwatches and said they lack any important computing power and need a too much to a smartphone for medium optimal connectivity.
The co-founder of Apple talks about his frustration of this last dependency, as there have been quite a number of occasions when he tried to pay for some items that use the Apple watch, but could not because he forgot to take his iPhone with him. Wozniak says that the apple watch is a whim nothing more.
It is more like a Bluetooth connection to my phone. All of us use Bluetooth in our ears with headphones, or other places, he added.
Speaking specifically about the Apple Watch, Wozniak said that Apple thinks putting up an Apple logo and name is enough to make people queue up to buy it, but he thinks Apple's watch "needs a little more" than They offer other smartwatches to sell in decent numbers.
Wozniak noted that before Apple introduced Siri, he was able to use his iPhone 4 to run voice commands to call, but after introducing Siri, even such a simple command requires the network access, which means that you cannot work in areas with a bad data connection.
He also spoke about virtual reality, autonomous vehicles, and more during his talk at the convention. He also revealed during his talk that he signed up to buy a Tesla 3 the first day it went on sale, even without reading or hearing anything about it (what makes money).
He is partly right.
