OS X 10.10.3 Yosemite Supplemental Update Fixing Video Issues

Complementary-update-os-x

If I tell you the truth, little by little and year after year, after the death of Steve Jobs, I am noticing how things at Apple are not going as smoothly as usual. It's only been 4 years since Jobs died and I have lived situations that until then I would never have thought.

In this case, it seems that once again, things are not going quite well with the new version of OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 and those of Cupertino have had to launch a complementary update which comes to solve the problems suffered by many users who saw how their Macs did not start up well when they used video capture applications due to incompatibility of their drivers.

It is clear that the arrival of the new version of OS X Yosemite was highly anticipated, but we see how bugs appear that those of Cupertino have had to correct with a complementary update that had never been done. The point is that users specialized in video production they saw their machines take much longer to boot or just won't boot.

One of the first actions they put into practice was the reboot of NVRAM, which had an effect on some computers but was not the solution for many others. Therefore, it was Apple itself that had to launch the solution in the form of an update.

Another problem that has been solved was the opening in Preview and Quick Look of large .jpeg image files, an action that generated opening errors. Definitely, a complementary update that you can now download from the Mac App Store.

I totally agree with your first paragraph. Apple has been ceasing to be that Top brand for some time to enter into a commercial dynamic in which anything goes, except things well done and the truth is that it is a shame, because as this continues like this, what will we do? stay?

This morning I updated and it asked me to restart. After updating, the mac has started and the apple and the progress bar looked as usual ... But suddenly when it goes approximately 1/3 of the bar I get a 'forbidden symbol' and it stays there. I tried to access in safe mode and the same thing happened, I even entered with CMD + R and when checking the hard drives it told me that they were correct.

They screwed me up but well, now I will have to format the hard drive ... And thank goodness I have an SSD, the operating system and the data on the HDD (No fusion drive).

And the best thing is that having yosemite I can't format it because from the recovery I can only update the Mavericks. Come on, shit.

Do not recover, format the computer, and install the Yosemite Zero, it will avoid problems. I don't do an update or crazy; It happened to me once and no more .. When you get into installation mode, you can go to Disk Utility and format from there, then close Disk Utility and you install from Zero.

Be careful with those who use trim enabler for SSD disks in yosemite.

I have a macbook air 13 to repair, it has the battery in a state of repair, when I click there, it turns off suddenly and it takes half an hour to turn on again. It is from the year 2011 and has 400 charging cycles, the same thing happens with a charger, any opinion?
    Thank you

Hello ! It happens to me that since I updated to OS X Yosemite 10.10.3, with its latest updates the Mac takes too long to turn on, that is, I turn it off at night, the next day I turn it on by pressing the Power button and it remains as dead (It does NOT give image or sound or absolutely nothing) for a long time, maybe 30 minutes or more, after that the Mac turns on and everything runs normally 🙁 I already took it to the technical service but according to the tests the Mac is fine, someone has happened, or does anyone know how to fix it! my Macbook is Late 2010 11p, any help will be appreciated! what I will try is to install OS X Yosemite 10.10 and test if the problem persists!
