The Ted Lasso series has become the pmost successful product of Apple's video streaming service, a series that continues to receive nominations. This time it's the Peabody Awards. However, it has not been the only Apple TV + series that has received the approval of this contest.
The Peabody Awards are organized by the National Association of Broadcasters and honor excellence in radio and television in the same way that the Pulitzers recognize outstanding journalism. These awards reflect the pressing social issues and highlight the emerging voices of today.
Besides Ted Lasso, the other series that has also received a nomination for this year's Peabody Awards is the children's series Little zen stories (Stillwater). Both programs have been selected from more than 60 nominees from more than 1.30th programs broadcast throughout 2020.
The Peabody Awards organization has selected Ted lasso because it "offers radical optimism and male anti-toxicity." Ted Lasso follows a football coach who is signed by an English football team, despite having no experience.
These awards have also highlighted the commitment of the series Small zen stories of teach children mindfulness. This program shows us a wise panda who helps children to know and understand their feelings as well as tools that help them face their own daily challenges.
The organization will announce the winners of this contest in June, in the virtual event that they will celebrate. This is not the first series to receive a Peabody Awards nomination. Last year, the Dickinson series received a nomination for being "a fanciful reimagining of the life of the poet Emily Dickinson."
