Affinity suite updated for macOS Monterey and the M1 Max and M1 Pro

Affinity

I have been using Affinity Photo daily, and the truth is that in all this time I have not missed Adobe Photoshop at all. Serif has a very complete and powerful graphic editing and design suite, with a one-time payment and several updates per year guaranteed.

The last one was launched yesterday. It is the 1.10.3 for all programs in the Affinity suite. Add support for macOS Monterey, and take advantage of the full potential offered by the new Apple M1 Pro and M1 Max processors.

Serif released just yesterday as Apple released its macOS Monterey, new updates to its popular Affinity suite of creative apps. The new version 1.10.3 of the suite includes official support for macOS Monterey and optimizations for the new chips M1 Pro y Max M1 that incorporate the new MacBook Pros of 14 and 16 inches.

According to Ashley hewson, CEO of development company Serif, users of the new MacBook Pros with M1 Pro and M1 Max chips will enjoy an impressive speed boost when using the new versions of the Affinity suite.

Hewson states that the results of the new version of Affinity produce a benchmark score of around 30.000 points for the 1-core M32 Max GPU, absolutely beating any other GPU score they've measured to this day. The changes have also improved the performance of the previous M1 chip, which is now about 10% faster in the new version 1.10.3 than in the previous one.

Affinity

Affinity apps have also been optimized to offer a smooth rendering at 120 fps on the new MacBook Pros, similar to what is already offered in the equivalent Affinity apps on the iPad Pro.

The update 1.10.3 is now available in all Affinity applications on macOS since this past Tuesday, and is free for all users of the suite. All Affinity apps are currently available to purchase individually for 54,99 Euros each one in the site Affinity, no subscription required.

Wait for Black Friday

My recommendation is that if you have never tried any Affinity application, download the free trial version and so you will see how it works. If it convinces you (which it will), and you decide to buy it, wait until Black Friday. Normally, every year and for only a couple of days, taking advantage of the Black Friday campaign, Serif lowers all the applications in the suite from their current price to about thirty-few euros. Surely this year he will do it again. That's how I bought Affinity Photo.
