Will the AirPods 2 have the same autonomy?

Original Apple AirPods

We are already in the second week of October and we do not know if Apple has another product presentation planned, this time, related to Macs and possible AirPods 2. Be that as it may, What I want to reflect on in this article is one of the novelties that the new AirPods 2 could bring.

The feature I want to comment on is the possible new autonomy that the second generation AirPods would have. This feature is something that Apple will have had to take into account And it is that in a market full of options, it is one of the things that users will look at with a magnifying glass.

The current autonomy of the AirPods is not that it is bad, but it is not as good as it could be. As for the way to manage energy, the first generation AirPods does it exquisitely and that is that although in the first moments the battery of the case was drained by a failure in the firmware, time later those of Cupertino modified the mode operating and currently when you charge the AirPods case, they suffer a battery drain in case we do not use them for a long time.

As for the current time we have the Airpods once removed from the case, we have up to 5 hours of autonomy and the possibility of continuing to recharge them up to an autonomy of up to 24 hours, as long as we leave them in the case for the necessary time.

That is why all of us who have first-generation AirPods expect renewed headphones with really acceptable improvements and with improved autonomy and that is if the new headphones are going to make use of a new microprocessor with a higher energy consumption, it is expected that autonomy could go down. What will Apple do about this?
