AirPods Pro will match AirPods 2 in shipments, later this year

AirPods Pro

Sisters months after Apple launched the second edition of the AirPods, it launched what, at the moment, are the company's highest-end headphones. The AirPods Pro were an external and internal refresh for new headphones that boasted above all the noise cancellation feature. These headphones priced higher than the predecessor model, they are more than likely to match shipments to that model later this year.

In October 2019, Apple decided it was the best time to launch a new model of noise canceling headphones. A few novelties were released with the AirPods Pro. The pad system, the way they interacted with the headphones, made them very different from the AirPods. Even Tim Cook said that this model was not coming to replace the AirPods, but to complement them.

A year later and in the midst of a global pandemic, it seems that the Pro model will be able to match in shipments to the AirPods model 2, without a surname. If everything goes as the forecasts establish and the experts affirm, by the end of the year the figures will equalize. As we have said, they were launched seven months before the Pro, so determining that they will be the same in shipping figures says a lot about the Pro model and its acceptance by the general public and especially by the most enthusiastic Apple .

At the moment we do not have to wait for the launch of new headphones by Apple. Not even the so rumored high end supraaurals. It is estimated that the third version of the AirPods will not be released until mid-2021 and until 2022 the second part of the Pro model. We will continue as we are, enjoying the audio quality of these models and the exquisite noise cancellation of Apple's most expensive model (not counting Beats).
