The filtration of the golden Master version of iOS 11, has allowed us to find out a few news of which until now we had no news, and if we had the details they were not very precise. The guys at 9to5Mac have been lucky enough to download and install it for describe a few new features related to the Apple Watch, iPhone 8, and Airpods.
Just yesterday I informed you that the shipping time for the airpods had been reduced again, this time to just over a week. As I stated a few weeks ago, when shipping times were starting to get shorter, seemed to indicate that Apple might intend to renew this device, renewal that has been confirmed through this leaked GM version of iOS 11.
The GM version of iOS 11, the version that will likely be released on Monday as the last beta of the program, will be the same version that Apple will offer as a final version, at least that is what it is doing in recent years. This version shows us some new AirPods. The current version has by code AirPod1,1 while in this version we can also see the AirPod1,2 code. But in addition, an image is also shown where the most representative change that these devices will receive is shown.
Currently the led that shows us the charge level of the AirPods is inside the box so we have to open it to see the charge level. This second generation will move the charging led to the rear, so that we will not have to open the container box to see if it has been fully loaded or is still half loaded. I doubt very much that this is the only novelty that this second generation presents to us, so we must expect some surprise more related to this second generation of AirPods.
Just on Tuesday 5th I got the AirPods for which I paid € 179 and now they release a new version? Well, how good Apple! It seems to me of very little professional ethics, something from which Apple has always suffered.
You have 15 days to return them. If Apple adds any more functions it is likely that the price will go up, I do not think it will only launch a new model where only the light that indicates the charge changes.
That is like saying that after 4 years of marketing a car model ... you buy it and they release the new model. The Airpods have been on sale for a year… ..that… in terms of telephony is more than 4 years in terms of cars. Garlic and water.
