The Amazon Echos from Ireland and the United Kingdom are now compatible with Apple Music

Apple Music

At the end of 2018, the Cupertino-based company announced the availability of a new feature of its streaming music service, a feature that allowed it to be compatible with Amazon Echo from the e-commerce giant. Initially, this function has been limited to the United States, and I say it was because it has started to reach Europe.

Both Ireland and the United Kingdom are the first two European countries, actually the first countries in the world, after the United States, where Apple's music streaming service is available through the Amazon Echo. In this way, any user of an Amazon Echo or Fire Stick residing in both countries can use these devices to play Apple's music streaming service.

Amazon Echo Plus

Compatibility with this service will gradually reach all Amazon devices in the coming weeks, for what there is if you reside in any of these countries, you will have to arm yourself with patience until it is available throughout the country. The commands to play Apple Music through the Amazon Echo will be very similar to those that we can currently use on iOS devices.

In order to add Apple Music as a new service, we have to use the Alexa application, and select in Settings> Add new service. In mid-December, Apple announced Apple Music compatibility on Amazon Echos exclusively. Last March, Apple Music also made its way to the company's Fire Stick, thus expanding the ecosystem of supported devices.

For now, We do not know when this functionality will be available in the rest of the countries, but it should not take long, since in the beginning, Apple does not have to reach any agreement beyond the one it has already reached to be able to offer its streaming music service on the smart speakers of Jeff Bezos' company.
