Apple AirTags will be managed by a replaceable battery

AirTags

We have been for several months, even almost a year, talking about object locating device that Apple plans to launch on the market and whose functionality is not far from that which, for years, the company Tile has offered us, of which you have surely heard.

These devices, baptized as AirTags according to iOS 13.2, allow us to find through an app, the items to which we have previously attached these beacons. The Tile Pro, to offer its functionality, are powered by a CR2032 battery, the same battery that apparently, according to MacRumors, will have the Apple AirTags.

The AirTags, according to the information available to this medium, are managed by a CR2032 battery, a battery that can be replaced unscrewing the back cover and turning it counter-clockwise. The battery must be inserted with the positive sign facing up.

CR2032 batteries are not rechargeable and they must be replaced when they stop working. The average duration of the Tile Pro is one year. Users must remove a tab located under the AirTag battery to start the pairing process with the iPhone, a process that is done by bringing the label closer to the device.

This information contradicts another that we published a few months ago, in which it was stated that AirTags would have magnetic charge, similar to the Apple Watch, which would require a rechargeable battery inside and probably would lead to an increase in its thickness.

The analyst, Min-Chi Kuo, stated a few weeks ago that the Cupertino-based company plans to lset these beacons in the first half of 2020Although due to the coronavirus outbreak, its launch will most likely be delayed indefinitely.
