The arrival of the iMac Pro will be what marks a new path at Apple

We are now very close to the date on which Apple is supposed to launch the new iMac model, the iMac pro. As we have known for several months, it is a very powerful iMac that has been designed so that both video and photography professionals can have an all-in-one that makes their work much more productive.

Many articles have already been written about what the new iMac Pro looks like, what are its features and what are its main novelties compared to current iMac. However, what I want to reflect on in this article is something else. 

As we can see, we have been enjoying this new concept of iMac for several years now. When I speak of a new concept I am referring to the thin edge iMac that appeared when Apple decided that it was the end of the DVD drives that previous generations had and that the screens were changed by new panels fully assembled with the glass. 

Over the years the model has remained and what Apple has been modifying It is the interior, the ports that it has on its back and the screen that they mount carrying the same Retina qualities of 4K and 5K.

Time after, new peripherals arrived such as the new Magic TrackPad 2, the Magic Keyboard with battery or the Magic Mouse 2 also with battery. So far, Apple has modified everything modifiable, leaving only in the inkwell that they can have higher-level processors and huge amounts of RAM in addition to the colors of the aluminum with which iMac are manufactured.

And that is precisely what has happened to the iMac Pro. We were presented with an iMac in space gray, which from what is seen is the color that has had the most acceptance along with the silver color of all life. As confirmation we have that the new MacBook Pro c0n and without TouchBar are no longer supplied in gold color, not rose gold like the Macbook 12.

With the change of color of these new iMac Pro, the peripherals in black color arrive again. It is not the first time that it happens and it is that Already in its day the PowerMac G4 Cube, a Mac that lasted little in the market stood out with some black peripherals. 

With all this I want to reflect on what Apple is trying to make us understand. Apple is preparing the market for the next revolution when it comes to iMac. It all began with the arrival of the Retina screens in a staggered way to them and in the different diagonals to now endow them with enormous power. A power that over the years will reach all models and I am sure that this is only the prelude to the arrival of virtual reality, a technology that to be able to edit on video will need much more power.

So, let's not despair because the power of the iMac Pro right now, in a few days it will be only for a few, for the price of the same, but over the years it will be for all of us. Who can not buy now a Mac Pro at 2000 euros? Not that everyone has that money, but what I mean is that there are MacBook Pro that exceed that price, a price that previously symbolized a power included only in Mac Pro and now for the same money you have it on a laptop.
