OS X El Capitan code references a possible Mac Pro update

It is relatively recently that Apple completely updated the Mac Pro both inside and out, with an engineering redesign to match the brand, however time passes and team performance has to catch up not to be left behind. For this reason it seems that Apple would be about to present a hardware-level renovation of the Mac Pro.

This conclusion has been reached thanks to the code included in the latest version of OS X 10.11.1 El Capitan, which refers to an unknown Mac model with specifications and hardware that are not found in any of the equipment that the brand currently sells.

Specifically, the code was discovered in an xHCI debugging session at the American University of Pike when in one of the plist files of the system, hidden from the user, it made reference to a Mac identified as "AAPLJ95,1", which integrates 10 USB 3.0 ports, something impressive considering that both the current Mac Pro as well as the iMac and Mac mini have only four USB 3.0 ports.

Furthermore, it is quite suspicious that the nomenclature given to this equipment is "AAPLJ95,1" when, in 2013, the test model of the new Mac Pro it was identified as "AAPLJ90,1". While this does not fully clarify that it refers to Apple's flagship, both the name designation and its specifications have led to speculation on this subject.

Recall that Apple has not updated the Mac Pro since its launch almost two years ago, so no wonder an update is coming sooner rather than later. In addition to the expansion in USB ports it is more than likely to integrate the new Intel Xeon processor architecture, plus more powerful graphics cards and updated RAM.
