The creators of the Once Upon a Time series signed by Apple to handle the reboot of "Amazing Stories"

Despite the fortune that Apple is investing in its streaming video service, whose most optimistic expected launch date is in March of next year, the Cupertino-based company is facing several problems, not only when it comes to to start production of some series, but also at the time of compete with other streaming video services like Netflix or HBO.

4 months ago, Bryan Fuller, who was to be the head of the Amazing Stores reboot, left the project due to creative differences with Apple, as the showrunner wanted to turn this series into a kind of Black Mirror, something that does not enter into Apple's plans, due to the type of content of that series. Apple wants to create content that is suitable for all audiences, where violence, sex and bad language have no place.

Last year, Apple acquired the rights to the series created by Steven Spielberg that was on the air during the years 1985-1987, Amazing Stories, a sci-fi and horror series in equal measure. Following the departure of Bryan Fuller, Apple has set its eyes on the creators of the fantasy series Once Upon a Time, a series that this year comes to an end after 7 seasons.

Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis have been the showrunners and producers of this series since it came to television in 2011. Before entering the creation of One Upon a Time, the executive producers of the series were working on such popular series as Felicity and Lost, as well as being part of the team for the movie Tron: Legacy.

Amazing Stores offers us a theme very similar to the one that we can find Tales from the Crypt and in Twilight zone, where each chapter tells a completely different story from the previous ones. For now, Apple has commissioned 10 episodes of the first season.
