Last April, users of Apple products in Singapore received the good news, Apple Pay was here to stay thanks to American Express cards. The expansion of this Apple payment method, Apple Pay has to be this year 2016 and for the moment it is available in Canada, China, Australia, United Kingdom, United States and Singapore. Within these places, expansion is being carried out through the banks of each place and this delays the expansion quite a bit.
The truth is that Apple Pay is one of the payment options that many of us are wanting to be able to enjoy in our countries due to the comfort and security of payments, but we have to wait for the guys from Cupertino to close ties with financial institutions first and then later merchants adhere to this secure payment method.
In the case of Singapura, the arrival of this service to the users of five new banks is now being announced, POSB, DBS, OCBC, Standard Chartered and UOB are added. So those users who have a credit card, Visa, MasterCard or American Express debit card in these entities, can now use Apple Pay in their purchases.
The rest, as we all know, CEO Tim Cook himself, announced that in 2016 he would arrive in Spain this year and by not setting a date, it will be time to continue waiting until the agreements with the banks are closed. For the moment in Singapore they can already pay in more than 30.000 merchants through this service.
