The expansion of Apple Pay continues and this time in Russia

Look

It may seem that we have Apple Pay all over the world but it is not, there are places where this service still does not work and in fact it was not so long ago that it began to work in Mexico. Now the Cupertino company extends in Russia the service for Mir users.

It may seem like normal news but it is that in Russia this method of payments with Mir is the one used at the national level. The payment system has 270 banks as participants, with 150 that issue this type of Mir cards. Now Apple Pay comes to the holders of these Mir cards from various banks.

The Mir payment system is the national payment system of Russia, and cards are accepted in 11 countries. Sberbank, VTB, Tinkoff Bank, Russian Agricultural Bank, Promsvyazbank, Pochta Bank, Center-Invest Bank and Primsotsbank were the first banks to provide their customers with Mir ‌Apple Pay‌ cards, according to the general director of payment systems Vladimir Komlev.

Keep in mind that in Russia the payment service of Apple Pay has been available for a long time specifically since last October 2016, little by little it has been expanding to more countries and more banks now offer the possibility of payments with this method.

Of course, the security and ease of payments that Apple Pay offers is undoubtedly one of its strengths. It is always good that there is expansion of this payment method whatever the country.
