Apple Pay expansion continues in the United States

Apple Pay has become the most used platform to pay for day-to-day purchases by many millions of users, users who according to the latest figures reach 225 million spread around the world. For Apple to reach this number of users 4 years after launching its electronic payment platform, it has had to reach agreements with banks around the world.

Although the expansion of Apple Pay internationally, still leaves much to be desired especially in Latin America, the Cupertino-based company appears to be focusing in recent months on expanding the number of supported banks in countries where this technology is already available. The last country to expand the number of supported banks again is the United States.

Apple Pay is now compatible with 19 new banks and credit institutions located in the United States and that we detail below:

  • Baker Boyer National Bank
  • BlueOX Credit Union
  • Desert Rivers Credit Union
  • Fidelity Bank of Florida
  • First Source Federal Credit Union
  • Firstier Bank
  • GHS Federal Credit Union
  • Guaranty Bank and Trust Company (MS & LA now)
  • Investors Bank
  • Miami Firefighters Federal Credit Union
  • North Shore Trust and Savings
  • Orion Federal Credit Union
  • QNB Bank
  • Reliance State Bank
  • Security State Bank (NE)
  • Town of Cheektowaga Federal Credit Union
  • Twin River Bank
  • Valley Bank of Nevada

As we can see, all the new banks and credit institutions that now support Apple Pay in the United States they are regionalas the main banks adopted Apple Pay during the first months of its launch.

As of today, Apple Pay is available in the following countries: Australia, Brazil, Canada, Vatican City, China, Denmark, Spain, United States, Finland, France, Hong Kong, Ireland, Isle of Man, Guirney, Italy, Japan, Jersey, Norway, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Russia , Poland, San Marino, Singapore, Switzerland, Sweden, Taiwan, Ukraine, and the United Arab Emirates.
