Today was the day chosen by the judge for the Cupertino boys to go to court to explain the reasons for those who refuse to unlock iPhone 5c used by one of the terrorists of the San Bernardino bombings, in which 14 people died. The FBI has been behind Apple for almost two months requesting time and again to allow access to the content of that device that is blocked by code, this model does not have a fingerprint sensor, but for each request, the Cupertino people published a response publicly.
But coincidentally one day before Apple's appointment with the judge, the hearing was canceled by the FBI, and everything seems to indicate that they have finally managed to access the terminal skipping all the security measures that Apple offers us on all iOS devices. Or perhaps, somewhat less likely, trying to access the terminal have managed to lose all the content.
A few weeks ago the mythical John McAfee claimed that in just half an hour he could access all the content stored on the device, without having to use brute force, option ruled out by the FBI since Apple allows us to delete the content of the entire device if the 10 unsuccessful attempts are exceeded.
McAfee stated that he only needed one hardware and one software engineer to access the inside of the device and copy the content to later apply a brute force attack. only about the data not about the operating system. What is clear is that we will never know how the FBI has managed to access the interior of the device.
