The whole soap opera begins with Apple's lawsuit against the founders of the new company, Nuvia, created by former Apple members. The core of the lawsuit was directed against Gerard Williams III for founding his new company while still working at Apple.
Mr Williams fought back Apple by defending himself in court, however, they agreed with Apple and the litigation could continue. The judge clarified that California law does not allow an employee to "plan and prepare to create a competitive business prior to termination if the employee does so on the employer's time and with the employer's resources."
Right now we are at a point where relations between the two companies, far from improving, seem to be getting darker and darker. All this because Williams now claims that Apple has launched its own anti-competitive campaign against him. The person in charge of Nuvia tofirm that Apple had threatened the company not to recruit Apple engineers. But the worst thing is that he accuses the Californian company of having tried to hire the company's co-founder, John Bruno.
