Future iTunes 11.1.6 will re-sync contacts and calendar information to iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch

FUTURE ITUNES

After Apple has released the new beta of OSX Mavericks 10.9.3, it has been learned, by Apple workers, who the iTunes that will work within it, it will be a new version that will recover functions lost with the launch of the first Mavericks.

Apple has released a beta of iTunes 11.1.6 for workers, which includes again the function of synchronizing contacts and calendars with iDevices.

According to the release notes, iTunes 11.1.6 "Restores the ability to sync contacts and calendar information to your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch from your Mac with OS X 10.9.3."

When iOS 7 and Mavericks were introduced in September, Apple scrapped local syncing in favor of iCloud cloud syncing, resulting in users only being able to sync calendars, contacts, bookmarks, and notes only through iCloud. Many users were not happy with the removal of this feature and its inability to synchronize information with their iOS devices using their Macs. That is why Apple's support page already has more than 212 pages of complaints about it.

Apple seems to have taken action on the matter and in future iTunes 11.1.6 will restore function once again, allowing users to sync locally.

Currently, the iTunes version 11.1.6 and the new version of OS X 10.9.3 are only available to Apple employees, but the beta versions should be released to developers shortly.
