Fortnite's Save the World game mode will stop working on macOS on September 23

On September 28, Apple closed the Epic Games developer account, keeping the one related to the Unreal Engine. In Spanish, this means that none of the versions of Fortnite for macOS and for iOS have been updated again, so they do not have access to all the content of season 4 of chapter 2.

If in addition to playing the battle royale mode of Fortnite, you also played the Save the world mode, we have bad news, since the game will stop working as of September 23, the date on which update 14.20 will be released, a version that would cause errors for version 13.40 players (last available Fortnite update for Apple devices).

Save the world - Fortnite

In this way, Epic Games has announced that the Save the World of Fortnite mode will no longer be available for macOS. Unlike the battle royale mode, Save the World is not free, so the video game giant will make a refund to all players who buy a founders or starter pack (including better ones) and who will play Save the world on macOS between September 17, 2019 and September 17, 2020.

Just like you did a few weeks ago with iOS users, any turkey purchases on macOS during that period will also be returned. This refund has begun to take place and it may take until October 2 to appear in the users' bank account. Users do not have to do anything to get the refund.

Save the world

The Save the World mode of Fortnite (survival and open world game where you have to perform missions surviving zombie attacks) was the first Fortnite mode to hit the market with early access in 2017, with the final version arriving in June 2020 .

At the end of 2017, it introduced the battle royale mode inspired by the PUBG game. It was then that it became the hit we all know, reaching 10 million players 2 weeks after its launch, when the sales of Save the World mode had barely exceeded one million copies in a month.
