Every year, we are in the same situation. When Apple shows no signs of wanting to upgrade its range of laptops, everyone begins to regret and delay, over and over again, buying your new equipment, in case the Cupertino-based company was about to launch a new generation.

If you are in this position, we are not going to make it easy for you, since it has just leaked a performance test on Geekbench, of a MacBook Pro with the Coffee Lake processor from Intel, a family of processors that is not yet available in Apple's notebook range.

Last year, Apple updated the MacBook Pro range with Kaby Lake processors, as well as adding a new processor that takes care, in part, of offer lower energy consumption and other team tasks. This performance test only confirms that the renewal of the MacBook Pro is close, or at least it should, so it is likely to be presented in the month of September.

This performance test shows us a MacBook Pro 15.2 running macOS 10.13.6 alongside Intel Core i7-8559U processor. This processor clocks in at 2.7 GHz but can reach 4.5 GHz depending on the workload. The score it has obtained is 4448 with a single processor and 16.607 with all processors running.

The i7-8559U processor is 28w, while the current MacBook Pro model is 15w, which translates to a significant increase in heat in the device, so it is likely that the power is reduced to 20w. The model that has passed the test is managed by 16 GB of LPDDR3 type RAM, the same that currently offers us the current line of MacBook Pro.
