Google's podcast app now supports CarPlay

Google Podcast

Since 2014, when Apple officially introduced CarPlay, many manufacturers have implemented this Apple technology (like Google's called Android Auto) in their vehicles to stop offering their customers a multimedia system that in most cases of occasions, they make others feel ashamed.

CarPlay turns the screen of our vehicle into an extension of our iPhone, and allows us to make use of some of the applications that we have installed on our device such as maps, streaming music and podcast applications. Within this category, we have a new application that has just been updated to be compatible with CarPlay.

I'm talking about Google Podcast, the Google application (and platform) with which we can listen to our favorite podcasts, an application that took longer than necessary to reach the market, and when it did, received a lot of criticism due to the lack of features that podcast users are used to.

Google Podcast, like the official Apple app, synchronize the playback of episodes with the rest of the devices where the application is installed, so we can resume playback once we get home directly from the Google Podcast website, a Google Home speaker, an Android smartphone ...

It also allows us modify the playback speed of podcasts and skip the silences, a function that you should start using if your podcast consumption is so high that you never get up to speed.

Regarding the content available on this platform, just by telling you that the podcast that the team at Soy de Mac and iPhone News is available I'm already telling you everything. Whether you have CarPlay or not, Google Pocast is a very good application to enjoy your favorite podcasts.
