The iMac Pro could launch at WWDC 2022 in June

Modular iMac Pro

It is very clear that at 27-inch iMac that we can buy currently has two newscasts left. Along with the Mac Pro, they are the only two Intel bastions left alive in the Apple Store, and all rumors point to the iMac being the next to go.

At first it seemed that we were going to see its replacement in the next keynote this spring, but it seems that due to problems in the delivery of the mini-LED panels, it will finally be presented at the next Apple WWDC in month of June.

It doesn't take Ming-Chi Kuo to know that the current 27-inch iMac is about to die. Simply because it still mounts an Intel processor. It will be replaced by a new 27-inch model already with ARM architecture, like the rest of the Macs in the family Apple silicon.

At first, the rumors suggested that this new model was already in the production process, and perhaps it would be presented in an upcoming Apple keynote within a few weeks.

But the well-known analyst of the Apple environment Ross young has published in his Twitter that the new 27-inch iMac, called the iMac Pro, will be presented in June at the next Apple developer conference, the well-known WWDC 2022.

This delay is due to the fact that the mini-LED panels that this iMac incorporates will not begin to be manufactured until June. So you could show up at the WWDC, and start deliveries between July and August.

According to the rumors that have been appearing, this new iMac will replace the current 27-inch iMac. It will be called iMac Pro. It will have a screen Mini-LED 27 (or maybe 32) inches, with around 1.000 groups of mini-LEDS of 4 units each.

It is also rumored that it will mount the same processors M1 Pro and M1 Max that already equip the current MacBook Pro this year.
