In the code of the pre-final version of iOS 13.4, version that will be released on March 24, shows how the new iPad Pro 2020 is managed by 6 GB of RAM, so that it does not matter which device we buy, they will all offer us the same power.
The third generation of the iPad Pro, which launched in 2018, was managed by 4 GB of RAM on all models except the 1 TB storage version, which included 6 GB of RAM. The iOS 13.4 code also shows us how the new iPad Pro 2020 has the U1 ultra wideband chip, a chip that is also available in the iPhone 11 and with it it is much easier to locate our device even if they have no battery or are turned off. Apple does not mention in any description that this chip is present in the new generation of iPad.
Regarding the processor that manages the iPad Pro 2020, the only thing we know, in addition to its name, A12Z, is that incorporates 8 graphics processors, one more than the A12X, a processor found in the third generation of the iPad Pro 2018.
Regarding the general performance of the device, we will have to wait for check if power offered by this new model is far superior to that of its predecessor. If this is not the case, something quite likely, the only reason to replace the iPad Pro 2018 would be the cameras, since the new model integrates two cameras on the rear as well as a LIDAR sensor, designed for augmented reality in the iPad.
