The MacBook Air of the previous generation, is still on sale 244 euros cheaper than the new

In recent years, we have seen how the guys from Cupertino, every time they renew their range of devices, continue to keep the older models, although in some cases, like the one we are in, it does not make any sense. It makes no sense, to my understanding, for the poor screen resolution that it offers us, in addition to other factors.

A team whose price is 1.105 euros, almost in 2019 can not continue to offer a resolution of 1.440 × 900 pixels. For that price, or a little less, we can find ultrabooks that they offer us higher resolution and better performance that this very veteran model, that or, are not managed by macOS.

If we are interested in buying a MacBook Air, Apple offers us three models:

  • MacBook Air with the same design of the last years, managed by an Intel Core i5 Broadwell with a resolution of 1.440 × 900 pixels, 8 GB of RAM memory and 128 GB of storage per 1.105,59 euros.
  • MacBook Air 2018, managed by an 5th generation Intel Core i8, retina display, Touch ID, 128 GB of RAM and XNUMX GB of storage per 1.349 euros.
  • MacBook Air 2018, managed by an 5th generation Intel Core i8, retina display, Touch ID, 256 GB of RAM and XNUMX GB of storage per 1.599 euros.

As we can see, for only 244 euros more, we can opt for the new generation of MacBook Air, a new generation, which is not only much faster, but also integrates Touch ID and Retina display, one of the demands of users for this device.

The new MacBook Air range allows us to expand the RAM up to 16 GB in addition to the storage space up to 1,5 TB, through the capacities of 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB. Obviously, the pocket is usually the first that commands when buying a new MacBook, but if we can save a little more and stretch a new old MacBook, buy the previous generation of this product, it does not make any sense or is recommended in any case.
