One of the characteristics that happen to all laptops is that the screen is low in height compared to the eyes. Writing on them for a long time is not that it is uncomfortable and less on a MacBook Pro, but it is true that it can make you resent after a few days. Many users end up buying a stand that elevates the computer a bit and makes writing on it better. Apple wants you to not spend money on accessories and is considering the possibility of creating hinges that achieve that effect.
A new Apple patent registered these days, warns of the possibility that Apple may be thinking of including a hinge system that makes when opened, the screen is raised and the keyboard is in a more comfortable position to type on it. Something like that, like the bases they sell. This is not a bad idea because many people end up with neck and shoulder pain due to poor posture when sitting in front of a laptop.
The patent titled "Assembly of links for a portable electronic device", you want the hinge mechanism to raise the entire top surface of the MacBook, achieving a better writing angle. There would be two ways to do it.
- Raise the rear section so that the entire top surface is angled towards the user, including the trackpad section.
- Lift only the keyboard element In the back. The keyboard is tilted while keeping the trackpad flat.
This not only achieves that the MacBook provides greater ergonomics for the user but also the cooling system will always be greater than if we have it supported on top of any surface. As always when they are patents, we will not know if this idea will come true.
