The new Apple Watch series 5 to launch in the fall

Apple Watch

The well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says that the new Apple Watch models would already be in the production phase and that these new watches will also be launched in autumn with an OLED screen from Japan Display. It has been several months since this watch is being "announced" for a launch, but Kuo warns that this would be produced in the fall with these types of displays. The truth is that Apple's wrist devices have been updating their screen from minute 0 and microLEDs are now expected to arrive in 2020.

We have already discussed the advantages of microLED screens on several occasions in soy de Mac, but the most important are the lower consumption of energy resources, the smaller overall size and the higher efficiency. In short, it is an option to take into account for those of us who already have an Apple Watch Series 4 with an OLED screen, since the big step in terms of changes seems to be for next year.

This year we will not have major changes to the Apple smart watch

The supply of screens for Apple Watch seems to be of concern to Apple and Japan Display is one of the most OLED screens that provide equipment. To date, this distribution of screens is not concentrated in a single company and it seems that this will continue to be the case, but with more prominence for Japan Display. The increase predicted by Kuo in orders is 15-20 percent of orders in 2019 and about 70 or 80 percent in 2021. In this case, we must take into account the possible change of OLED screens by the microLEDs.

At the moment it seems that with the arrival of the new iPhone 11 models we are going to have a new Apple Watch model, so we have to wait for some changes in this new Series 5. There is little left for it and the month of September is just around the corner. Are you waiting to buy a new Apple Watch?
