Apple presented yesterday at the "One More Thing" event the new generation of Mac, a nine generation that comes to market with Apple's M1 processors, leaving Intel aside for the first time in the last 15 years and adding fanointings that until now were not available.
Of the three computers that were presented yesterday: MacBook Air, Mac Mini and 13-inch MacBook Pro, the latter two debut compatibility with 6K screens, as we can read in MacRumors. The previous generation of both models it only supported up to 5K output.
Oddly enough, the MacBook Air that Apple renewed this year, was already capable of moving 6K screens, a feature that was not available on either the Mac Mini or the MacBook Pro. In this way, Apple expands the range of Macs that offer support for higher resolution displays.
In addition to the MacBook Air 2020 and the new Mac Mini and MacBook Pro with Apple's M1 processor, within the Mac range we can find other older models that already offered 6K support like the 2018 MacBook Pros, the 2019 iMac and iMac Pro ...
Apple's new M1 processors, according to the company during the presentation, offer a 3x faster CPU performance and up to 5x faster GPU performance. In addition, another of the strengths of this new generation and that was already assumed, is the battery life, which in the Pro model can reach up to 20 hours.
Launch of macOS Big Sur
As planned, at the same presentation event for the new Mac range with Apple Silicon processors, Apple announced that the launch of the final version of macOS Big Sur is scheduled for 12 of November.
