The Jamf market study has just released the figures of its annual report and in this it can be seen that companies that allow their employees to choose operating systems and devices, they end up choosing en most cases Apple products, both Macs and iPhones.
Jamf, who has released this report every year: Annual Jamf Trends Survey, shows that the choice in the business sector of devices and in this case the 2018 study corroborates what has been happening each year, that in this sector Apple would also be taking the lead.
580 business organizations worldwide
In this case we focus on the consultations made to the executives, managers and professionals from nearly 600 organizations around the world and in all of them, Macs and iPhones are the products they choose to carry out their business activity.
In the case of Macs, more than 72% of employees in companies that allow choosing devices prefer them to work. Obviously, PCs also have their share, but in this case it remains a scant 28% of the total. It may seem obvious to us why we like Mac, but there are many users who still prefer a PC.
Regarding the choice of iPhone Jamf says that of the 49% of the companies that allow employees to choose a smartphone, 75% of the total stay with the Apple iPhone or Android devices, the one that loses this battle is Blackberry that stays in less than a 1% of the total. It is undoubtedly important to bear in mind that not all companies let their employees choose the teams to work with and in the event that this is the case, the choice is usually accompanied by consistency and the teams they are used to in their day are chosen a day.
