The proposed law on Apple taxes in Europe on the table

This is an issue that has concerned the European Union for some time and it is that the law for the Cupertino company and the rest of the large multinationals that operate in the old continent, pay taxes on the income of each country in each of them and not only in Ireland, as they have been doing for years.

The tax advantages that these large companies have to pay taxes in Ireland and the laws of the EU, make all the benefits go there and eye, all of them are totally within the law when paying taxes there since they have the headquarters in that country. Now with the proposed change of law on the table, it seems that the "bargain" that these companies have could be altered ...

El release issued today by the European Union, it is undoubtedly the last step to formalize the change in this law and that the taxes remain in each of the countries in which the benefits are obtained for all sales. This means all the money generated by Apple, Microsoft, Google, etc., in our country, will be taxed in our country.

The reform is not for all multinationals

This change will not affect all companies that have products in the EU, since some of them could really be economically very affected by the amount of income they earn per year in each of the EU countries. In this way, the law reform is directly related to all those companies that have great benefits (such as Apple) that are those that generate some annual revenue of more than 7 million euros or annual revenue of 750 million euros of which 50 million come from a Union country.

France, has been struggling with this for a long time and after several meetings with senior managers of these multinationals including Apple CEO Tim Cook, it seems that in the end the desired objective will be achieved and these large companies will have to agree with it. The European Parliament will decide the final approval of this change in the law which is already on the table, so soon we will have news about it again and we will see how the affected companies fit in, but above all we are interested in Apple.
