The Launchpad 'star' effect in OS X Mavericks

In the new OS X Mavericks DP1 a curious way 'visually speaking' has been implemented to show us when an application has just been updated or installed on our Launchpad. Just yesterday we saw how enable or disable automatic updates in the new Apple operating system and today we will see how an update or installation of any new application is visually displayed on our Mac.

The effect that we can see when we perform any of these two actions in the Launchpad is based on some flashes around the application that disappear in a few seconds. But let's see a small youtube video where you can see the effect.

Sure, many people will like it and many others may not, it is something curious and different, yes, but it does not provide more than a visual effect of an application that we have just installed / updated.  I prefer the second group more and I don't see much use for it.

My modest opinion about this new animation that Apple has implemented in the Launchpad when we perform any of the actions such as updating or installing a new application, is something that does not make our work easier or contribute any significant improvement to the system I see it merely as something aesthetic and nothing more. As well as the new possibility that allows us to activate or deactivate the automatic updates of Apple applications or software if I find it very useful and something interesting about this beta of the new OS X Mavericks, this visual effect does not give us any improvement or benefit Regarding the use of it, I would rather say that it consumes resources (few) and that it will end up disappearing in future updates of Apple's operating system.

Do you like this new effect when updating an application in the Launchpad? Do you find it unnecessary?
