The system does not recognize your user password? We bring you a possible solution.

password-screen-0

Surely you have ever left your Mac on for a long time, downloading files or doing some other type of task that does not require your attention at all times, but when you return and reactivate the system from sleep or simply turn on the screen, when you enter your password, it does not accept it.

This is not usually something common so it will occur in rare occasions and it doesn't even have to happen to you. Normally it happens if we have previously changed the full user name from the "Users and Groups" option to a different one, we have allowed the computer to go to sleep or turn off the screen, but we have not restarted or turned off the system prior to suspension, so the old full name is still displayed on the user selection screen. However, it does not accept our password, leaving us blocked.

password-screen-1

What can we do?. No problem, solving it is very simple since the credentials on the home screen they are editable to enter, if we need it, the short or full username in the corresponding field and the password again (guiding us by the clue if we do not remember well). These fields appear by pressing the keys »ALT + Enter« on that screen for OS X version 10.8 Mountain Lion.

If we still continue with version 10.7 Lion, pressing »ALT + Enter» will automatically update the username for the new one that we had entered in the corresponding field, leaving us only the password field for us to introduce obviously. As you can see, it is an easy way to recover the session without having to switch off with a "push button" the team if it happens to us.

I get two boxes, one to put the name and the other for the password. Down, rest, restart and turn off, and the entire gray screen does not accept the password.

I just bought a Mac so sierra and I left it to sleep while I did other things and when I came back and turned on the screen it only showed two fields, one asked for the name and the other for the password, below the rest, restart and shutdown, at the enter them name and password, it does not recognize them. The screen has the appearance of the sierra system that are the mountains but they are veiled by a white film.
