One of the highlights of the new MacBook is the USB-C connector that brings the extremely thin Apple equipment. This port has to act as a connector for power and all other connection tasks to the equipment, it is also suitable for all accessories thanks to the standard USB-C cable and Apple will not object to it. It is true that until now we have had third-party accessories to charge our Macs and others, but now Apple seems to open one more door.
Having a 'standardized' connector on an Apple computer is something you don't see very often and it is possible that the Cupertino guys have gotten the hang of it in this regard after the 'slap on the wrist' of the EU to all manufacturers when it comes to charging ports and connectors for new teams.
This 'slight twist' of Apple with the new MacBook and its USB-C port is good for everyone, but I am not so clear that Apple eliminates from now or in the near future, the MagSafe / Thunderbolt ports on Macs, for the benefit of the USB-C standard how it is being discussed on the net.
Well leaving aside the issue of whether it will be the only port in the following Apple Macs, what I want to comment on in this post is that the manufacturers of cables, batteries, hard drives and other accessories They now have their share of the cake more accessible with this Mac, as the guys in Cupertino won't be too resistant to plugging in external batteries or third-party accessories.
Hopefully this too increase competition between these manufacturers unrelated to Apple and lower the price of accessories dedicated exclusively to Mac users, which in most cases this 'exclusivity' makes them increase their price on many occasions without any sense.
