If just a few hours ago we mentioned some news that allowed us to expand the world of Apple TV, with agreements with cable operators, now we are sending you bad news. The creators of Minecraft will not continue to update the version of the game for the Apple TV, due to the lack of players.

As of Monday, September 24, the Apple TV version of Minecraft will no longer be updated or supported. We're grateful to the Apple TV community for their support, but we need to reallocate resources to the platforms our players use the most. Don't worry though, you can continue to play Minecraft on Apple TV, keep building in their world, and your Market purchases (including Minecoins) will still be available.
When the 4th generation Apple TV was introduced, high by October 2016, Minecraft was presented as a flagship game landing on the tvOS platform. The CEO of Apple himself presented it as a great initiative:
You can build new worlds on your Apple TV and play with your friends using iPhones and iPads
Since then other games are expected to pick up the main game baton, but few have submitted their proposals. But the game did not sell as expected, and the developer two years later decided to focus its efforts on another platform.
