They use an Apple Watch in flight to know the constants of a passenger

It happened in flight, when an Apple Watch owner used his watch to measure a passenger's vital signs that had just collapsed. This incident prompted this user to study medicine to help other people with this ailment.

The watershed moment of Shear's career came on a plane ride from Arizona to DC, when shortly after takeoff, the woman sitting across from him passed out.

Shear, along with an intern doctor and a lifeguard, jumped out of their seats and started working on it.

Shear removed his Apple Watch and put it on the woman to check her pulse. When the plane landed, he handed the watch to the emergency technician so that medics could have his pulse data from the flight.
