Apple advertised arrival of third-party services To HomePod users in this year's atypical WWDC, now a few weeks later some testers are already enjoying the option of selecting these default services to play music, podcasts and audiobooks directly on the speaker.
This means that users will be able to leave out the AirPlay option from your device and directly use these third-party services on HomePod. A demand that implies important changes is that developers have a lot of work to adapt the apps that must now be compatible with it.
Apple Podcast, Apple Music and the rest too
All the audio services that we can imagine as available now on the HomePod could be supported. Among them the most prominent in our country such as Spotify, will have direct access from the device itself. An option that users of these services have been demanding for a long time and that will finally arrive officially next October, now is starting to be tested in beta.
This function is now closer, but there is still a long way to go before you can start enjoying this possibility of listening to music, podcasts or audiobooks from apps other than Apple Music or Apple Podcast directly on the powerful Apple smart speaker.
