This is what multi-user calls look like in FaceTime 5.0 for macOS Mojave

In the presentation of the renewed Apple application to connect Apple users, or rather known as FaceTime 5.0 we saw its main feature, the ability to talk to 32 users at the same time.

FaceTime has been connecting users all over the world for seven years. From the first moment it amazed with the video qualityeven though the data transmission was not excellent. Series like The Newsroom catapulted it, when two of its protagonists constantly contacted each other through the application. But, What are the news that we will see in FaceTime for macOS Mojave?

The first, in the tests carried out with the betas of Apple operating systems, both on MacOS Mojave, iOS 12 or even watchOS 5, multi-user calls are produced with excellent quality. Specifically, calls between macOS Mojave public beta and iOS 12 users are successful.

Even High Sierra users can participate, but cannot see other users' faces. The main reason is lack of support to carry out the call with more than one person at the same time.

As we anticipated you, we have a new interface. When we are talking to a single person, the image is similar to what we can see today. The main difference is where the button is currently located to capture a snapshot during the conversation. In FaceTime 5.0 this button is used to add users to the conversation.

The first user we add will share the screen with the initial user. From three users, they begin to float through the FaceTime interface. The magic of Apple this time we find it when it places in the foreground the person who is currently transmitting audio. However, we can select a user to bring it to the foreground by simply pressing it.

Lastly, you can add a person who is calling you at this moment, to the group conversation held at that time. FaceTime 5.0 will be available from September, and apparently so far, it will surely leave us very funny moments with family and friends.
