Until now and since CEO Steve Jobs patented and put on sale the idea of the MagSafe connector, Apple computers of years ago were sold with individual chargers that used, unlike other manufacturers, a magnetic technology in its connector.
Both MagSafe and MagSafe 2 chargers are chargers whose charging cable is integrally attached to the main body of the same and cannot be separated. In addition, the charging connector has magnetic properties that make the connector sit quickly to the charging location and "stuck" by magnets to the MacBook Pro Retina and MacBook Air.
Now comes Apple with this new and revolutionary MacBook, a laptop that has been completely redesigned and that, because it only has one USB-C port for everythingThey have been forced to eliminate that idea that made recharging Apple laptops different.
Now the charger of this new computer is similar to that of an iPad but with more power. We are talking about a charger very similar to the one that was distributed with the first iPod with a Firewire cable. On the body of the charger we have a USB-C input to connect a double USB-C type charging cable.
One end of the cable is connected to the charger and the other to the MacBook.
