This is your Mac. We analyze the ideal Mac for each type of user

They say that a Mac is a Mac, Nothing could be further from the truth. There is much more variety when choosing un Mac that most people think about. Your Mac can be very different from mine.

When buying your computer You don't have to take the first one you see that has a shiny apple. Think what are you going to use it for, and act accordingly. But if you need a little help, here I have to give you a cable when choosing.

First choice: Portability

Although today the most widespread is the portable system, there are still many people (among whom I find myself) who we prefer a good desktop computer, with your keyboard, your mouse, and your space to move, so this is going to be the first choice we are going to have to make, and that the machine that we are going to acquire will condition us.

Regardless of what I have said above, of if we more or less like a laptop or a desktopIt is not the only factor that will influence whether we choose one type of computer or another. Although for example I like a desktop much more, in the situation that I am currently I prefer a laptop, since I am in one place during the week and in another on weekends, and having a desktop would limit me when it comes to using my computer.

If we need mobility, there is no doubt that we will have to opt for a portable MacSince if we need a large screen at home, we can always connect it externally and work as if it were a desktop.

Second choice: Screen size

The second choice we are going to face is the screen size. If we have decided on a laptop, we can choose between 11 (eleven), 13 (thirteen) and 15 (fifteen) inches. If, on the other hand, we want to have a nice computer dessert, we can choose between 21 (twenty one) and 27 (twenty seven) inches.

In the portable option, depending on what screen size we choose, we will be limited in some way. If we want one of 11 inches, we will be forced to choose a MacBook Air, since it is the only one of the series that has this screen size. Entering the 13 inches we can already choose between a Air or a Macbook Pro, the latter with or without retina display. And, if we decide on the 15 inches, we only have available the Macbook Pro with retina display.

If instead we decide on a dessert, we have the series iMacAs well as Mac Mini. Although most of you surely know it, the difference between these teams - in addition to the differences in their specifications - is that the Mac Mini has no screen, while the iMac yes (it is one, basically), the ones we have named before 21 or 27 inches.

If we want a super-desktop, we also have available the Mac Pro, although this will be a purchase that most will not make profitable, since It is designed for very demanding and professional work environments.

Third choice: Use

In my opinion, this is the most important and the one that we will have to take into account the most when buying a new equipment if we do not want to waste money buying one that we will not be able to squeeze the most, or fall short to save a few euros and that we are limited when it comes to perform certain jobs.

The machines less powerful of the catalog are the Mac Mini and Macbook Air. But beware, that they are the least powerful does not mean that they will not meet the needs of most of us more than enough. If you are not going to do any editing work, or that requires a lot of processor, it works well with any of these equipment. For home uses, for my taste, they are the most successful, since you will be able to play all the music and movies you want without any problem. You can edit your photos, upload them to Facebook, view your Twitter and use the large office suite iWork what gives us Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), for activating one of your computers.

If you are going to perform work that requires more technique, or games, you will have to opt for at least one Macbook Pro or  iMac. The teams in this series come with a graphics card that will provide you with the performance you will need to edit video, images professionally, or to play to Blizzard games like StarCraft II or Diablo III, or to the big game of the moment, League of Legends. Of course, all these devices are scalable and configurable at the time of purchase, so you can have the computer that best suits your needs.

If you are a complete answer from some field of design, and you need a brutal power, your team is the Mac Pro. Is the catalog beast, a team that probably more than covers all the needs that anyone may have and that you can configure in an exaggeratedly powerful way if you have enough money (and if it is for your work, you consider it as an investment) to be able to spend.

Final section: Budget

How could it be less, the budget that we have will also be one of the conditions when acquiring our Mac. To start with the cheapest, we have the Dual core Mac Mini, with which you will have a Mac But if you want to give some use to part of user consumption, you will probably realize that you have fallen short. At his height more or less is the Macbook Air, which even having a little more graphic power, is lacking in the processor.

Next in the range are the Macbook Pro and iMac, with which I am sure that 95% of the users of a computer will see their needs met if the previous ones do not cover them, which for many of us they will also do.

Finally, the flagship team, the Mac Pro, within the reach of not many and a product much more focused on the professional sector than the average / advanced user. If you need a powerful machine that will not fail you in performance even remotely, this is your machine. Although I suppose that if you have thought that this is your machine, you will have much more knowledge of the facts than I can.
